The cabin is equipped with a mini split unit for air conditioning/heating. The unit is controlled via remote which you will find in a cradle on the wall next to the spiral staircase.
The cabin is also heated by electric base board heat in each bedroom and bathroom. Individual thermostat controls are located on the walls in each room.
There is also a small floorboard blower heater located under the kitchen sink cabinet. Turn the dial to turn on and off.
If the air conditioning is running, please ensure that all windows and outside doors are closed to ensure maximum efficiency. We recommend a setting of 72 degrees (F) which we find keeps the cabin at a comfortable temperature during the summer months.
In the colder winter months, when your stay is complete, please make sure you set the thermostats back to 60 degrees (F) to ensure the cabin stays warm enough that the pipes do not freeze.
In the summer months, when your stay is complete, please set the air-conditioner to 72 degrees (F).
